Things of Courage.
Let’s talk athletics then, let’s talk push and pull.
Lets talk taught, tight, close and uncovered skin.
Let’s talk finger tips and kisses, let’s talk that fire in your eyes you never spoke of, that fire that meant you know just how you could’ve gotten away with it,
because it’s worked on other girls before.
No one ever believes me though, when I tell them I’m not like other girls.
Because I won’t just crumble and collapse and shutter and shake,
I’ll squeeze you back and I’ll make sure to sweat just as much because I do so love to sweat and I hate to be out done,
A lady does not admit to the pleasure of competition,
But I’ll keep up.

It takes me courage to be patient for the things I want most.
It takes courage for me to act on and demand what I want most,
when that moment is before me, that suddenly tight and stumbling lip will be my demise.
It took courage for me to listen to all those things you said and not let them melt my heart into little pieces.
It takes courage for me to think there is any future between you and I but oh!
If there was!
If there was I would give you everything I had courageously and confidently, I would be yours and you would never have to worry,
no matter how far I traveled, I would sing out my window at night and it would travel across seas and over mountains to brush your forehead while you slept.
And I would paint the sunrise all your favorite colors so that when the day begins, the sky was a symphony of the adventures you dreamt.
I will be brave for you. I will try again. I would rather fail your standards in honor than leave some stone of your beautiful mind unturned and wonder always how close I was to something really spectacular.
